Nanotec Signage Solutions

Thanks to the improvement in their mechanical properties, composites made with  graphene-enhanced resins resins provide greater efficiency to the applications that use them, offering companies a series of competitive advantages.

These signs are made with CompoGraph resin incorporating graphene nanotechnology, which enhances their mechanical properties such as tensile, compression, and shear strength. The optimisation of materials provides Nanotec signs with greater lightness compared to traditional steel or aluminium signs, making them a highly competitive product.

Current signs are designed with aluminium profiles around their perimeter, which allow them to support ISO-established loads. Thanks to graphene, it is possible to eliminate this aluminium profile and manufacture a self-supporting structure made entirely of composites, capable of meeting all requirements.

This reduces both the amount of raw material needed and the production time, resulting in an optimised manufacturing process for the signs.

Nanotec signs have undergone rigorous testing for tensile strength, fracture resistance, elasticity, and durability, including wind tunnel tests that simulate the force of wind generated by a train passing through a tunnel at speeds exceeding 310 km/h. These tests comply with European standard EN 12899-1 and have earned the CE Mark.

These innovative signs are already in use on various routes across the country, including Ibiza’s city centre and the High-Speed Rail section from Chamartín to Torrejón de Velasco. It is expected that future signage across Spain will be manufactured using this material.
